My Micoblading Experience

Hello Lovelies,

It’s a beautiful Saturday and I wanted to give you my honest opinion about Microblading.  About a year ago I finally decided to test out microblading. Eyebrows are very important to me because they help define the face and showcase the eyes. I was born with very bush Hispanic eyebrows and my mother in the 90s used to take me to get them waxed, well needless to say now that I am in my 20s, I miss my God given eyebrows. I have tried pretty much everything out there: eyebrow pencil, powders, vitamin C with Rogaine oils, etc.… I wasn’t so sure about a permanent solution, but after looking at Ritual Holistic Beauty Instagram, I was quickly convinced I was going to be in good hands.

What is exactly microblading?

It is actually semi-permanent makeup (lasts about a year or more, depending on your skin type). The hairs are traced by many tiny needles that are reunited in one single line forming a blade. The result is very natural since it perfectly imitates hair.

Microblading, process:

  • The first step is to talk with the person who will perform microblading: what you expect as a result, the shape, the color.
  • Next, the longest step in the procedure is to take measure and to draw the shape of the eyebrows.
  • Then, the beautician applies a numbing cream on the region for 25 minutes. Once fully numbed, she/he will begin the process of each stroke. I Honestly, I didn’t feel anything at all!
  • Once they are completed, don’t wet them, touch them. Just let them be for two days. At that point you can use grape seed oil to roll over to help with the dryness. The most important part is to not remove the scabs, even if they are itchy. Otherwise, the pigment could come off!

Here are the results on my eyebrows.

First Session
Second week, still healing

Should you try microblading don’t worry if you have scabs after few days! You’ll see, they will fall off quickly.

Four Months Healed
Follow up Session two

Sincerely, I think I was more scared than anything else because, obviously, it is very important to choose a good beautician and to look at his/her work beforehand (I mean, it’s your face, right?). I am personally really glad I worked with Betty who was able to answer all my questions and worries. I highly suggest you to go see her Ritual Holistic Beautywhere you can directly contact her! I had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend microblading. I don’t use any type of make up on my eyebrows anymore which is wonderful. I really like how they turned out, very natural and fuller. I don’t need another session for awhile.

Current : fully healed

Being able to share my experience with all of you is priceless!  I hope you enjoyed this read. For daily shares and simply more of me head over to Instagram and follow me.  Have a great week.

Xoxo,

Alyssa
