Coastal Ride

Lovelies,

A trip to the beach means sand between my toes, salt water in my mouth and that sweet aromatic sea scent I love! I had been craving all of the sensations and so my fiancé planned the perfect trip. We flew into Santa Cruz and stayed in town for two days and took the breathtaking coastal drive up Highway 1 to the Bay. I have never driven by the ocean and it was astonishing! The views were glorious! We stopped and picked up cherries, strawberries and peaches from farmers selling them on the side of the road. The fruits were so juicy, delicious and bright they stained my tongue! Since we had been driving I wanted to pull over and jump into the ocean. Why not? I thought!I was the first one out of the car and feet in the ocean.

Even on a road trip I still had to be fashionable! So let’s talk beach fashion! I wore a floral maxi rap dress. It reminds me of the long silk robes women wear around the house. I love how flowy it is and especially the slit at the front. The material is very light and a bit see through so it worked perfectly with my bathing suit underneath. I got completely wet and sandy. Haha a total kid moment! But no worries the material dried fast under the sun.

The pastels of pink, turquoise and cream just looked great on the sandy beach. I knew we would have more local stops up the coast after the beach so I still wanted to be presentable. I add some long turquoise and gold earrings. When I walk the earrings clink clink and I love it. The shape of the earrings are like mermaid scales. To complete the outfit for the streets I paired gold pendant sandals I purchased many years ago. The mini heel is gold which is a great balance to my dress and accessories. Always keep in mind of what you want to be front stage in your outfit. I wanted the floral print to stand out. I picked two colors from the dress pastel pink and turquoise and found a mini clutch. The pom poms on the mini clutch are just a girly add on.

I created a beach check list:

1)Bathing Suit

2)Light materials that will dry fast

3)Sun Screen

4)Sunglasses

5)Towel

6)Tote (easy to carry all of your belongings)

7)Snacks and drinks

8)Music

9)Camera

Fashion is meant to be fun! Remember no matter where you are in the world to always shine in your own way. Create a new trend or style and work it! Let me know what your beach checklist is. What does your fashionable beachwear look like? As always thank you for stopping by today! Until next time lovelies …

Xoxo,
