Hiii My Lovelies! How are you doing?
Do you catch yourself staring into the mirror, perhaps a bit closer when you’re brushing your teeth? Do your teeth still appear as white as they once were? Are you wanting to whiten them, but are too afraid to look like Ross from friends?? Ha-ha just kidding! However, if you have answered yes to any of the previous questions, then you have come to the right place to get an affordable, un-biased opinion.
If you do not know by my daily posts and trips to Zendo, I am a daily coffee and tea enthusiast. I personally use a straw for drinking both, coffee and tea — regardless if my drink is cold or warm. My dentist recommends using a straw because it will lessen the exposure of teeth to staining from coffee and tea and the harmful effects of sugar from soda. His instructions were to place the tip of the straw at the back of the mouth behind the teeth and tongue so the liquid goes straight from cup to back of the throat without touching the teeth.
Using a straw is only a minor step toward preserving your beautiful pearly whites and I have gone down the path of trying to whiten my teeth via an actual dentist. My wife and I had gone on a journey, just to whiten our teeth. First, we had approached our dentist, whom insured us that we were both perfect candidates, but of course this lead to the most expensive option. The actual procedure would cost each of us $200 not including taxes. Our second option that seemed more ideal was a kit our dentist presented. Sadly, the actual kit was $70 initially, which we did not think to be that expensive for our budget, but to thoroughly whiten your teeth you must purchase the gel refills which cost $60 for five. The dentist stated if we went with the take home kit each of us would need about 10 gel refills before seeing results. After discussing our initial options, we decided to try and approach a more organic and affordable method. We are inherently more inclined to natural products and overall, will probably be much better for our teeth.
After doing some research, we both found two different products on Amazon. The first product we tried is called Ms. Dear Natural & Organic Teeth Whitening Bamboo Activated Charcoal Powder (https://www.amazon.com/MS-DEAR-Whitening-Activated-Charcoal-Toothbrush/dp/B06XRVSG6N/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1508606209&sr=8-1&keywords=Ms.+Dear+Natural+%26+Organic+Teeth+Whitening+Bamboo+Activated+Charcoal+Powder ). I recommend Ms. Dear Natural & Organic Teeth Whitening Bamboo Activated Charcoal Powder; I give it a 10/10 rating. You’ll definitely see some results as early as the 10th day. The powder is a tad messy but controllable. The black color is quite shocking at first but you’ll get used to it.
The second product we ordered is Twin Lotus Active Charcoal Toothpaste Herbaliste Triple Action (https://www.amazon.com/Twin-Lotus-Charcoal-Toothpaste-Herbaliste/dp/B00XNMDQ2G ). The toothpaste wasn’t my favorite at all. The color is brown looking. The taste was surprisingly like tea and curry. It was difficult to stand the flavor for the recommended 5 minutes. The texture was gritty. After we used the toothpaste for a couple of days it left our mouth uncleaned and no refreshing feeling. I would give this product a 2/10 rating and I would recommend trying a different brand. We felt like it wasn’t doing anything for us we actually switched back to my original Crest Complete whitening scope toothpaste https://crest.com/en-us/products/crest-complete-whitening-plus-scope-toothpaste . This product simply put, is amazing! The minty taste is refreshing and isn’t too overwhelming. For the last product we use is the Crest 3d White Luxe Diamond Strong mouthwash https://crest.com/en-us/products/crest-3d-white-luxe-diamond-strong-mouthwash . This mouthwash was introduced to us by a friend about a year ago and we absolutely love it.
Now that I have given you an insight to the products that I use daily and those to which I no longer use; the following is my daily routine to which I think is very easy. First, I brush my teeth with Crest Complete whitening scope toothpaste for about two to four minutes. Secondly, I switch to my Bamboo toothbrush that came with the Ms. Dear Natural & Organic Teeth Whitening Bamboo Activated Charcoal Powder and begin to dip my dampened brush into the canister of black charcoal. Remember, a little goes a long way, trust me. I then continue to brush for about three to five minutes. Remember, the charcoal is wondrous for your teeth, but does not do anything for your tongue, so it is useless to brush your tongue during this step. Lastly, after rinsing with water, I proceed to the final step. Utilizing the Crest Whitening Mouthwash I simply measure out about 1/3 of the cap (you will see once you purchase) and swish swash around for about a minute or so. I usually repeat each step two or three times, daily.
1 Month Review/Recap
After one month I have seen a drastic change, simply by following my daily routine. In comparison to my pre-month regimen — my teeth now appear whiter and brighter.
I hope you try these products out and let me know how your experience is.
Wise words I would pass on would be to remember that consistency is key and quite frankly, none of these products are going to work over night.

I’ve been looking for some whitening products so I’ll definitely have to try out these ones! I may still keep my own toothpaste (I use sensodyne whitening because I have sensitive teeth) and then add on the other two products you recommend to see if it helps. It definitely seems to have given you results 😊 Thanks for the review!

I’m so thrilled you enjoyed the information! I completely understand keeping the same toothpaste. Make sure to take weekly photos it’ll help you to see the progress. 😀
The results look great! I’m gonna have to try some of the charcoal powder for sure!
