Soaking up all the Peace & Quiet

Hey there lovelies,

It’s officially December 1st?! Can you believe it?! Let all the Christmas check lists begin!  Christmas can be one of the most stressful times of the year!  All of the running around, shopping, holiday parties, work and school is finishing up.  We burn ourselves out before the big day comes. But what if things could be different this year? Imagine waking up on Christmas morning with the same energy and excitement that you had as a child? This year I personally would like to change things up and want to give you a couple of tips to de-stressing around this time of year.

With all the hustle and bustle we tend to forget about ourselves and what we need. My first tip would be to take some time out and take a hot bath with some soothing products.  I am a huge fan of hot baths for de-stressing. It also allows me to find some time to read or be in peace. Peace is something we can so easily forget to access. Hot baths initially raise your heart rate and body temperature and you begin to perspire which lets your body get rid of toxins.  When was the last time you took a hot bubble bath?

Here is a list of items I like to use in my hot baths:

If you have not taken a hot bath in a while or even since childhood it’s time to fill the tube and take some time for YOU! You devote time to all your responsibilities all day, every day, but for the next thirty minutes, soak up as much peace and quiet as possible.

Other helpful tips to de-stressing around this time of year, organize your wardrobe. Plan ahead of time, pick out fits that make you feel good and you feel you look great in. Make sure once you have worn it once you wash it right away just in case for the next party.  Second tip prioritize projects and parties, let’s be honesty you cannot make it to all the parties and holiday events so pick the most important to you and schedule them. Stick to the schedule you created and don’t feel horrible if you cannot make it to something that someone invites last minutes. There is no reason to stress yourself out more during this time of season.

Lastly and most important I want you to identify what you really want for Christmas day/ last month of the year. Make this time special it’s supposed to be a magical season.  What things can you do to ensure your experience is the most meaningful during this time? Comment below and let me know what your favorite things are to de-stressing? If you happened to take my advice and settled down in a hot bubble bath let me know how that went for you. Happy Holiday season to all of you! See you Next Friday for a fun unconventional holiday outfit.

Xo,

Alyssa
