Visiting Red River for the first Time
Hello gorgeous people! How is your day going? First off I want to thank you for stopping by. If you are new here Welcome ! My name is Alyssa the creator of Style My Bonez. My website is about travel, fashion, food and everything lifestyle. My wife and I love to travel, immerse ourself in other cultures, meet new people and discover new food.
Sara and I started a list of all the places within driving distance of Albuquerque that we have not explored, one of those places was Red River. We were recently invited to spend a couple of days in Red River and experience the Red River Folk Music Festival.
The festival couldn’t be during a better part of year, the beginning of Fall! From the changing leaves to that fresh, crisp and season changing air, it couldn’t get much more beautiful! With that Mountain View and quaint town hospitality, made for a great first experience!
The Red River Folk MusicFestival was from Thursday September 23,2021 through Sunday September 26, 2021.
The Red River Folk Music Festival showcased both emerging artists and nationally touring acts. My personal favorite Max Gomez. I never heard his music before and I’m officially a fan!
The drive from Albququerque to Red River is about 3 hours and 30 minutes without any stops. We were able to make it on one tank of gas but we stopped in Santa Fe to have lunch. We picked up some delicious tacos at El Parasol. Highly recommend there crunchy shredded beef tacos! This meal held us over until we arrived in Red River.
Sara and I checked into the Alpine Lodge which is on the right hand side of the town as you come in from the highway. The hotel is at the base of the Red River Ski Area chair lift. The hotel is a Bavarian-style riverside resort. You could see the town, mountain from our balcony. The hotel was perfect distance to everything in town. The owners live in the front part of the hotel. They were so sweet and humble. The room was very clean, the hotel itself was very quiet.
