First Road Trip 2021

Hello Beautiful People,

Happy New Year! I hope that your start to the new year has been great thus far. Last year was painfully long to say the least… but we survived! Sara and I did not travel due to covid-19 like a lot of you. This year we are planning a couple of road trips and hopefully flying aboard. We are very hopeful that this year will be full of adventure. If you have been following me for awhile now you probably aware that traveling is a big part of our life. We absolutely love meeting new people, trying new foods, exploring unknown lands and simply learning more about this world. So far we have traveled to the following places:

  1. Chiang Mai
  2. Bangkok
  3. Koh Lanta
  4. Manila
  5. Ho Chi Minh City
  6. London
  7. Rome
  8. Amsterdam
  9. Iceland
  10. Munich
  11. Dublin

In the U.S.A

  1. Colorado
  2. Arizona
  3. Kansas
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Texas
  6. Nevada
  7. California
  8. Washington
  9. New York
  10. Hawaii

My goal this year is to document more of our trips and provide you with some helpful tips and suggestions. So lets get this started !

Our first road trip of 2021 was to Pagosa Springs, CO which is about 3 hours and 40 mins away from Albuquerque, NM. It’s a very beautiful short ride from home. This trip we decided to use Vrbo to book our place to stay. The house we stayed in was huge and gloriously beautiful. It was located by the river and close enough to walk into town. The app Vrbo was so easy to use and connect with the rental owner. I’m definitely going to be using this app more often for trips.

Pagosa is a cute mountain town with lots of fun outdoor actives. This trip Sara and I enjoyed the hot springs which they have 25 pools! All of the pools have different temperatures including access to the river to cool off. The Springs Resort & Spa has food and drinks inside and your able to text what you want and they bring to your hot springs. Isn’t that the coolest?! They also offer messages but Sara and I did not get one this time we just soaked. It was $80 for the both of us, for all day use. Next time I want to get a message then go soak.

For the second activity we went snowmobiling which was my first time and Sara’s second. Oh my gosh! We had a blast with our group and let me tell you I giggled the whole time. The snow was just so gorgeous! It was a 2 hour guided tour with tons of play time. Sara and I paid $232 for the experience. We did not have to rent any snow gear or helmts because we have our own, I believe that is a add on if needed.

My last activity was of course skiing ! I went up with a couple of friends (Sara isn’t a fan of skiing) . It was $90 for the day pass and the snow was fresh and fluffy. Wolf Creek is known for all the snow they receive. The mountain is smaller then Taos but its still a great mountain to play on.

We are so happy that we were able to get away for a couple of days and do some really fun things. We are starting to plan more trips so stay tuned for more adventures.

Thank you for giving this a read. Follow me on social media for daily shares. Make today great !

xoxo,

Alyssa
