It’s been a whole year or two since I’ve written a blog, and I miss it. So, let’s make this a thing again. The world is changing so fast, and with AI and all the technology, I find myself drawn back to my favorite things in person: reading blogs, sewing, connecting with my community. So here’s my commitment to you, a new blog every week. You’ll find fashion, more in-depth travel, activities, and local things to do and eat. I also want to hear from you, so comment and tell me what you want to see. Is there something I used to blog about that you miss?
If you’re new here, hi there! My name is Alyssa. I’m a whimsical woman who loves living in a sunshine-and-rainbows kind of world. I’m the full-time owner of a digital marketing company that also does social media management, and I love helping people showcase themselves and their businesses online. I’m lucky to be surrounded by really creative people, and the world needs to see them. My passion is seeing through the lens, in front of the camera or behind it. I have two degrees: an AFA in fashion design and a BA in digital marketing. I grew up painting, drawing, sewing, and using multimedia to make art, and now we’re doing all of that digitally. Being born and raised in Santa Fe always had me thinking about what I could create with all that art around me. Now, in my 36th year of life, I’m trying to find a new balance between work, creative time, and being healthy. I want this blog to be a place where I share my life in more detail. I share it on social platforms in short form, but I’ve been craving long form here, and maybe YouTube someday.
I have a beautiful, intelligent wife, Sara. She’s my biggest fan, sees my potential in everything, and pushes me even when I don’t believe in myself. We really are a great team. We see each other’s potential and climb the ladder together, so to speak. We always want to grow, personally and as a pair. We also have two fur babies, Mocha May and Marley Jane, who have so much energy they keep us going to parks, walks, and every outdoor activity we can find. We took them to Aries DogLand for training, so now they’re both incredibly well behaved and absolutely adorable. Sara and I really want to move abroad for six months. Maybe Italy, maybe Portugal. We love to travel, and honestly, we want to settle somewhere for a little while. We’ve both been to more countries than states. We just love to explore, learn about cultures and languages, and try all the food. I love all the fashion and fabrics. Talk about traveling I am always wondering “but, what will I wear?”. We love to people watch. This world is so beautiful, and I don’t want to just read about it. I want to experience it, and see everything I can with my own eyes. We do want to be moms someday and take little humans around the world with us, but I want to learn as much as I can before that chapter begins.
