Hello there lovelies,
Lately my feet have found themselves in all sorts of flats. I feel like most gals go through phases for heels and flats. Fact is you have a big chance that when you wear flats over heels the amount of fun you are capable of having is much greater, no matter the circumstances. I am a shoe collector of all types: flats, heels and sneakers. I keep track of time and how long I can wear a certain pair of shoe before they start to hurt. Yes there are shoes I own that do not hurt but when traveling or attending a long lasting event I like to keep my shoes on the whole time. It’s a commitment to yourself and to those beautiful shoes you so graciously pulled out of their box for a night in the town…don’t let them down! It’s a big thing for me haha I tell myself don’t wear them if you can’t hang all night! All or nothing! I know for myself sometimes shopping for flats is not as exciting as shopping for some sexy heels. I first saw the Miu Miu ballerina flats which are the newest and fun although the a tad pricy. When I was searching for something similar my favorite store ZARA had just what I wanted. I adore the contrasting materials with the knotted detail and crossover straps. The hardware is silver and gives it that edgy look. These flats are definitely not the classic ballet flats however they are perfect for my wardrobe.
Ballerina flats are always in fashion. They are indeed classic and timeless. If you don’t own at least one pair I highly suggest you go out and grab one. Ballerina flats are defined as “derived from a woman’s soft ballet shoe, with a very thin heel or the appearance of no heel at all”. Ballerina flats became popular in the 1950’s after Audrey Hepburn wore them in “Roman Holiday”. They are constantly in women’s footwear fashion year after year. Fact is ballerina shoes date back to the 16th century. The classic ballerina slippers began in Pairs, France. Rosetto Repetto crafted a pair of ballet pointe shoes for her son. After that first pair was made came many more inspired by the original.
Now let’s head downtown and dance around some local art. Albuquerque has fun and artistic walls all though out the city and just beautiful art all thought the community! This one I really like because it’s full of bright colors and has a tons of random “A’s”! The wall has 3 strips of art with white in-between. I saw this wall a couple of weeks ago and knew I wanted to style something in front of it. I styled an all-black outfit for you. I chose a dress that is remarkably fun and sophisticated. If you have read any of my past blogs you’ll know I love when clothing, accessories and shoes have movement. This dress has all the movement I need to dance the night away! It’s pleated with extra ruffles on the bottom a perfect match made in fashion heaven for ballerina flats. This all black outfit is chic with a touch of edginess.

Fashion Tip: Remember ballerina flats can be your go-to comfy shoe style. I know mule and sneaker trend is in however embracing this classic shoe style is good! They can go with any style. They are the polished and give elegance to any outfit.
Keep in mind the biggest shoe trend of 2016 thus far is undoubtedly comfort, plain and simple.
