Happy December ! Extremely grateful and thankful for each and everyone of you including all my fellow bloggers. I hope all of you enjoyed your family and friends on Thanksgiving! Now let’s get back to our Thursday routine!
Corduroy is so right now and a perfect cooler weather fabric.I haven’t owned anything corduroy since my corduroy Oshkosh B’gosh pants my parents styled me in when I was little. I recently have fallen for corduroy material when I spotted these burgundy overalls at Target. The vintage overall look is back and even better! Corduroy comes in great colors for fall and winter, they drape well, and to top it all off they are comfortable and warm! Sounds just about perfect, right?
Corduroy came into fashion during the 60s & 70s.From the runway to fast fashion, designers have introduced contemporary versions of this plush fabric that are perfectly suited for fall and winter. Corduroy is the best substitute for denim when the weather cools down. Some people’s opinions are that corduroy looks masculine or outdated. The key is to pair them with pieces that give you a flattering or modern look, so your outfit isn’t just warm and comfy, but stylish too.
This outfit is a great example of a modern look from the 60s & 70s. Not only is the shade of burgundy a rich, deep, intense and warm tone, but the cut is gorgeous. To add some extra warmth and a fun pattern pop I am wearing a black and white strip long sleeve bodysuit. A Leather statement jacket and purse to add to this bold modern look. I am extremely warm and fashionable too!
Try ditch the denim for a day and style your cords as you would your favorite jeans. Don’t forget to comment! Let me know what you want next.
