Lovelies! Are your stockings hung? I hope you’re checking your list not just once but twice! I am on my way to wrapping up (literally) all those Christmas details. We are about a week out from Christmas Eve, do you know what you’re wearing for the actual holiday or parties prior to then? Well no need to worry if your not quite prepared I am here to help! Last week I prepared a casual dress that is gold/silver and sparkles when light hits it! Definitely some key things you can think about while getting ready for this festive time of year!
We all know that a Christmas party is going to happen. Whether it’s at your house, a friends house, work or out on the town! Christmas is a time for celebrating! I especially love getting all dolled up. At what other time throughout the year can you go all out with an emerald green silk dress and a deep v velvet top? Exactly my point…
This gorgeous emerald green looks amazing surrounded by twinkling lights! Did I mention this dress is only $34 and the top only $10? I know that budgets can be really tight during this time of year, however there is no need to worry there’s always fast fashion. Fast fashion such as Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters always have great things that just need an add of some nice quality pieces to make it look fancy and put it all together. The 4 elements I add to elevate this look are:
1. Black open toe suede mules – These are the sexy factor. The heel is a stiletto and the base of the shoes is very thin and sleek. When placing these beauties on I instantly get that “va va voom” feeling!
2. Statement ring- it’s a big black square ring with gold side embellishments. This is actually the only main piece of jewelry I am wearing. I really wanted to keep this outfit clean and sophisticated. Simplicity at its finest.
3. Wood clutch- Every gal needs something small and inconspicuous to carry their “stuff”. Clean and a fun color block. The black, white and real wood matches and doesn’t pull away from the main ensemble.
4. Leather Jacket- Black leather just pulls everything together for me. You could honestly wear a fun fur coat with this look and make it more winter like, however I wanted to look both sexy and fancy, but my leather jacket also adds the edgy!
And because, you know, I had to sneak a hint of red in here somewhere (it’s the holidays, after all!) I chose to paint my toe nails red and pop on a beautiful bright red lip.
This or that (causal outfit) is the perfect ensemble to help you celebrate everyone’s favorite day of the year. Whether you spend it with friends or family. I got the perfect outfit options and key things to think about for your Christmas or festive parties. Let me know in the comments below or tweet me if any of my tips helped you! I love hearing from you. I thrive off your comments, support and love.
